6 Metre boats are a classic design, with 1,500 built world wide dating back to 1907. The class design formula favoured sleek boats and many sailors believed the Metre boats to be the most beautiful hull shape designed. ‘May Be XI’ is a 6m Modern with fin keel, trim tab and spade rudder built to Lloyds of London standards. Being fibreglass she is easy to maintain, her current owner has spared no expense keeping her in a boat bag and in 2024 a new epoxy bottom, full refare and hard antifoul was completed to value of $26,000. Add to that an excellent sail wardrobe and you are off racing with the Classics at the pointy end of the fleet. May Be X1 won the last metre boat Regatta held in 2024.
