It has been a busy first quarter of the year for Vicsail both in Brokerage and New Yacht Sales.
Time flies when you have fun, and we can’t believe it’s already Easter! Please enjoy an overview of what’s been happening and have an amazing time over the long weekend with family and friends!
McConaghy Boats Shipyard Visit February 2023
David recently travelled to Zhuhai in China to visit Mark Evan’s and the Team, where Vicsail have two new and exciting Multihulls in construction.
Our team has been responsible for the sale and have been instrumental with development of two new models, the MC82 Power and MC68 Sail. Both yachts are Kerr Designs and feature McConaghy Boats high-tech philosophy of build, keeping the boats light weight, super-efficient and packed with great technology, style, and performance for which the brand is famous for!
Further to these two projects, Vicsail is also part of the team responsible for the sales and marketing of new and very exciting AC-40 and Hydrogen powered. The intent is to create a One-Design Class post America’s Cup in 2024 with full support from Team New Zealand and McConaghy Boats.
Nautor Swan Shipyard Visit March 2023
Its with great excitement that we where able to hand-over our latest new build project, the beautiful Nautor Swan 58 “Coco”. David was at the factory in Pietersarri, Finland with the owner for the big day and Coco didn’t disappoint! The latest “Swan Range” of yachts between 48 and 128ft are superb and Vicsail is delighted to continue to represent this iconic brand in both Australia and New Zealand.
Vicem Yachts deliveries in 2023
We are thrilled to welcome recent delivery of Vicem 55 to Sydney! Brendan joined our Vicem specialist Peter Richter in accepting the boat off the ship in Newcastle. We are working closely with the Vicem shipyard, they are producing a “Classic” range of Down East style boats, and also a larger “Cruiser” range. “Mareluna” is the very first Vicem 55 to arrive and whilst available for immediate delivery. Will be displayed during 2023 Sanctuary Cove Boat Show and Sydney Boats Show. We look forward for the arrival of the Crusier Vicem 93 coming later this year to Australia. That boat was sold with our associates in Queensland at Leigh-Smith Yachts. We can’t wait for more exciting Vicem news.
Local and International Brokerage Boats
The Vicsail team have been very active in the yacht brokerage market both internationally and here in Australia. The local market is still very buoyant, and we have really enjoyed assisting our clients over summer, both with yacht sales and also acting on behalf of clients to purchase yachts. Its always a great pleasure to do the first sail with a new owner!
Whilst David was in Europe last month, he inspected several larger sailing yachts for Australian clients, with a goal to secure these yachts for the upcoming season in the Mediterranean. Vicsail has some great alliances with international brokers which gives us incredible reach to all world markets and yachts available.
